Review my recent trades and find the pattern in what's going wrong. My trades (entry, exit, size, reason for entry, reason for exit, result): [PASTE 10-30 TRADES] Account size: [SIZE] Strategy I believe I'm running: [DESCRIBE] Timeframe and market: [e.g. 15m, ES futures] Analyse: 1. Where my stated strategy and my actual behaviour diverge. Be specific about which trades. 2. Whether my losses cluster by time of day, day of week, market condition, or by what happened in the previous trade. That last one usually matters most. 3. Position sizing consistency — flag any trade sized meaningfully differently from the rest, and what preceded it. 4. Whether my winners are being cut short relative to my losers, with the actual ratio. 5. The single change to my process that would have had the largest effect on this sample, with the arithmetic. Do not tell me what to trade next, and do not evaluate whether my strategy is "good" — review my execution of it. No invented statistics about what traders typically do.
When to use it
- You want the mechanism behind a setup explained, not a verdict
- You're reviewing your own execution and want the pattern in it
- An indicator is in your chart and you don't fully trust it yet
Which mode suits it
This is analysis, not brainstorming: you want figures carried through exactly and no invented statistics.
- Precise — shorter, fact-first, no padding
